Modernizing an international school’s digital presence

Global Prodigy Academy

Global Prodigy Academy is an international school in South Korea serving a diverse, bilingual community of students and families. The project focused on redesigning and rebuilding the school’s website to reflect its academic values, global outlook, and modern educational approach, while improving usability for both Korean- and English-speaking audiences.

Problem

Problem

The previous Global Prodigy Academy website was over ten years old and no longer reflected the school’s growth, values, or international positioning. The design felt dated, navigation was unclear, and important information was difficult to access—especially for new parents unfamiliar with the school. In addition, the site did not effectively support bilingual users, creating friction for both Korean and English-speaking visitors and limiting the school’s ability to communicate clearly with its community.

Challenge

Challenge

The main challenge was creating a modern, user-friendly website that worked seamlessly in both Korean and English without duplicating content unnecessarily or confusing users. The site needed clear information architecture, intuitive navigation, and a visual language that felt trustworthy, academic, and globally relevant. At the same time, the website had to be easy to maintain by the school long-term, without relying on custom code or complex developer workflows.

SOLUTION

SOLUTION

I redesigned the website in Figma, focusing on clear structure, bilingual navigation, and responsive layouts optimized for both desktop and mobile users. UX decisions were guided by real user needs—parents looking for admissions information, students exploring programs, and families seeking quick answers. The final site was developed using Imweb, a South Korean no-code platform, allowing for efficient development while ensuring the school could easily update content internally. The result was a modern, accessible, and maintainable website that better represents Global Prodigy Academy’s identity and supports its international community.
