A bilingual digital presence for a high-end dining experience

Iluka

Iluka is a high-end restaurant offering a refined dining experience in South Korea. The project focused on designing and building a bilingual website that reflects the restaurant’s atmosphere, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, while making essential information—menus, reservations, and location—easy to access for both Korean and international guests.

Problem

Problem

Iluka needed a website that could convey the quality and atmosphere of its in-person dining experience. Existing digital touchpoints did not fully reflect the restaurant’s identity, and key information such as menus, reservations, and location needed to be clearer and more accessible—especially for non-Korean speakers. The challenge was to balance visual storytelling with usability, without overwhelming users or detracting from the restaurant’s refined aesthetic.

CHALLENGE

CHALLENGE

The website needed to function seamlessly in both Korean and English while maintaining a consistent, high-end look and feel. Content had to be structured clearly so that users could quickly find essential details, while still allowing the visuals to set the tone and support the brand. The site also needed to work well across devices, as many users would be visiting from mobile while searching for dining options.

Solution

Solution

I designed the website with a visual-first approach, using clean layouts, restrained typography, and strong imagery to reflect Iluka’s premium identity. UX principles guided the structure of the site, ensuring that menus, reservations, and contact information were easy to find in both languages. The website was developed using a modern no-code platform, allowing for efficient implementation and easy future updates while maintaining design consistency and performance.
