Farms Link

In the ambitious redesign of FarmsLink, a pivotal online community platform for pig farmers in South Korea, my contribution as a UX/UI designer was to reimagine and enhance the website to better serve its unique user base. Understanding the distinct needs and challenges faced by pig farmers, my approach centered on creating a more engaging, accessible, and informative platform. Through comprehensive user research, including interviews and usability testing with the farming community, I identified key areas for improvement such as streamlining the navigation process, simplifying the information architecture, and introducing features that facilitate easier access to vital farming resources, market trends, and community support. This foundational work ensured that the redesign not only elevated the user experience but also fostered a stronger sense of community among pig farmers across South Korea.
Moreover, the visual aspect of the redesign was carefully curated to resonate with the platform's target audience, incorporating earthy tones and imagery reflective of the agricultural sector to create a familiar and welcoming online environment. I introduced responsive design elements to ensure the website's functionality across various devices, recognizing the on-the-go nature of farming work. This attention to detail in the user interface design, combined with a focus on usability, played a crucial role in transforming FarmsLink into a more user-friendly and resourceful platform. By elevating the website's design and functionality, my work significantly contributed to enhancing the daily operations and knowledge-sharing capabilities of South Korea's pig farming community, reinforcing FarmsLink's position as an indispensable tool in the agricultural sector.
