Counseling Connect

In my passion project, Counseling Connect, I took on the challenge of blending the dynamics of social media with the profound impact of a counseling platform. As the sole UX/UI designer, my vision was to create a digital space where individuals seeking emotional support could effortlessly connect with professional counselors, as well as engage with a community that shares similar experiences. The cornerstone of my design process was empathy – understanding the sensitive nature of the users' needs led me to prioritize privacy, comfort, and ease of use. I devised a user interface that encourages engagement through its simplicity and warmth, incorporating elements that foster a sense of safety and trust. By meticulously designing both public and private interaction spaces, I ensured users could share their stories broadly or seek individual counsel, mirroring the duality found in social media and professional therapy settings.
My role extended beyond the aesthetics; I was deeply involved in creating a user experience that was seamless and intuitive. This included developing a comprehensive onboarding process that helps users navigate the platform's features while also establishing their preferences and boundaries. Recognizing the importance of accessibility, I implemented adaptive design principles to ensure the app was fully functional across various devices and accessible to users with different abilities. Through iterative design cycles, incorporating user feedback, and rigorous usability testing, I refined Counseling Connect into a platform that not only meets but anticipates user needs. This project was a testament to my commitment to using design as a tool for social good, creating a space where connection and counseling converge to offer solace and support.
